| Our Association was formed to provide breeders with a way to share ideas, experiences and knowledge, as well as to help us act as a combined force to educate the public about the boer goat industry. In doing so, we will help to develop the Boer Goat show and meat goat market in the Northwest. | |

| We believe that through meetings, correspondence, and exchange of useful knowledge and ideas, breeders can help each other to develop strong, healthy herds. We will promote close fellowship, co-operation, and education among Boer goat owners and enthusiasts in the Northwest. One of the tools we are using for this purpose is the Yahoo email group we established to enable us to share ideas with all of our members at the same time using email. Educating the Public | |

We will educate the public on the utility and value of boer goats and meat goat products through the exhibition of Boer goats at shows, fairs, and through boer goat educational programs. By providing educational programs we can increase knowledge, not only in the general public but to newcomers to the Boer industry as well. |
